Webb14 maj 2012 · The psychological pressure that the young men face is huge. It’s not a coincidence that, for the poorer ones, the coping mechanism is to use drugs and to drift in inactivity. Young women are all keen to work, but unlike the young men, being unemployed does not affect their core dignity. WebbIt asked 1600 young people – and those working with them on a daily basis – what the challenges were that they faced. Our findings, set out in the World of Good report (below), provide valuable food for thought and raise questions about where to direct resources and which issues to prioritise.
